Pop-Up baits entail serveral advantages over sinking bait's, especially in cases of muddy or overgrown bottom structures.
The floating nature of the Pop-Up boilies in the Snowman Rig allows for the bait to lay on top of those bottom structures and provider better visibility and presentation as well as helping in hooking the fis more reliably.
The cautious fish will not be scared away when taking the bait as the Snowman Rig will even out the weight of the leaders and hooks.
